1. The biggest difference with other soil improvers such as garden compost is that worm castings contain the full range of minerals and trace elements as well as hundreds of different beneficial bacteria and fungi that together create a living soil.

2. Why do we need a living soil? Thanks to its active soil life, worm castings stimulate root growth, resulting in stronger plants that can much more efficiently absorb water and nutrients from the soil. Often there are sufficient fertilizers and minerals present in the soil, but the plant is unable to take them up. With the help of a living soil life, this becomes possible.

3. In addition to the beneficial bacteria and fungi, worm castings also contain an NPK value. This usually concerns 1% nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, which is sufficient thanks to the active soil life.

4. Large fertilizer doses are not necessary because the soil is already rich in nutrients, but the plants cannot absorb them without an active soil life around the plant roots. It increases the resistance of plants to diseases and fungi. If the zone around the roots is occupied by beneficial bacteria and fungi, harmful fungi no longer have a chance to grow. And if they still get a chance to grow, the beneficial bacteria and fungi will neutralize the harmful ones.

5. The harvested fruits contain much more minerals and vitamins because the plant roots can absorb the necessary minerals from the soil thanks to the active soil life.

6. Worm castings contain 2 billion enzymes per gram, which greatly increases the plant's ability to absorb nutrients. In concrete terms, this means that these fruits are also healthier.

7. Seeds germinate faster in worm castings, transplanting young plants is easier, and the harvest is brought forward. It simply means that the plants grow better.
